Loyal

It’s important to be loyal to (at least) one other thing than ourself.

Why? It sets the groundwork for our life - our dreams and aspirations. Contributes to the times in life when it really matters, when stakes are high.

Like a gift, in turn, it solidifies our loyalty towards ourself.

It’s real work showing up to commitments and obligations (e.g. workouts, or healthy eating, or religious/spiritual practices, friends, family). But it’s part and parcel of this short life of ours.

Loyalty is both the spoke on the wheel and the ring on the finger.

— A necessity and an outward sign.
