A good friend reminded me yesterday something the ancients used to sing, namely, the arts are useless like Beauty or religion. 

They’re not means to any end. They’re ends in themselves. 

I met Ben from @oldseabrigade four years ago when he opened for one of my favourite musicians at the @phicentre . Got to chat with him for a while after that show and he gave me two of his cds for free. Naturally, I’ve made it my thing to support him every time he has a mtl show. Even if it means driving to another city. I know being a creative is not an easy life. His music never disappoints. And hopefully I’ve made up for the cost of giving away two cds!
