Like Should Marry Like

James told me that “like should marry like”.

James is a 75+ year old man , and over the last 11+ years has been a mentor, teacher and most importantly, a friend.

As I learn, it’s not so much the superficial similarities that join people together (e.g. hobbies, likes or dislikes), but rather, a similar paradigm.

It’s a similar paradigm which fosters similar values, and consequent actions.

What paradigm do we let cover our minds and hearts and eyes and ears?
