Years ago, around this time of year, I was invited to Handel’s Messiah.

I dressed for the occasion so not to stand out from my company and the rest of the audience. But mostly, out of respect for theatre and the arts.

After the event, my company talked about the long standing tradition of celebrating post-show, extending the life of what we had just beheld and experienced. They commented on the lack of opportunities to do do in the city I was in and that itself, was an indicator of the place arts and culture held in our society.

We eventually found a place, were we shared drinks over long discussions of philosophy and theology. Oh and politics.

An integrated life is a full life.
