I don’t believe you have to be a religious individual in order to embody or understand those words of wisdom. Whatever value system you follow, I always ask:

Do my actions and words match?

And do those match with my heart and mind?

Let’s be of one heart and one mind, undivided within ourselves, so that we can be the person others need of us.
