Dare we try?

Before we had @pinterest , or @ikea showrooms, we had our simple yet solid beautiful furniture, furnishings, decor, and art.

We also had our imagination.

It made our homes our own, gave it personality. Think of our grandparents’ homes - cozy, beautiful, warm and inviting.

Why do we rely on these monetizing giants now to create a space that looks like someone else’s? Often even stale and lifeless filled with items with a shelf life of 5 months before it peels or breaks or wears out.

Why diminish our own ability to buy a non generic painting? Or ugly couch? Etc.

Can we dare to try?
