Constancy [Part I]

Con·stan·cy [Part I]
Noun. Steadfastness under duress.

Our hearts are always set on something at a given time. That something - our desires.

What are they? They could be something high and lofty - a dream, a goal (immediate or future), a project.

The common thread, however, is that our desires (different from passing wants or needs) are set somewhere.

Anchored, like a boat. Always.

We don’t choose them. Actually, we never choose them because they’re given like an unopened gift that takes decades to unwrap if we pay attention.

Time. True desires are steadfast and speak in the gentlest of whispers to our noisy hearts and restless souls. They are loyal to us.

Quiet our hearts. Listen.
