But to truly see.

Unconditional love exists.

Many conflate love with infatuation. Some with lust. Both couldn’t be further from love. And why? We encounter infatuation and lust more frequently than we experience love because the truth is, we ourselves are more concerned with self-preservation in whichever way we deem easy and quick. I am no exception.

We are prone to wander, oh lord, I feel it.

Love is always free, and is free-ing. It enables me to be increasingly myself. It gives me eyes to see. But to truly see.

This is not an attempt at painting a fairytale. Unconditional love is simple, unglamorous, consistent and often does not make sense, but also joy-filled and peace-ful.

When you love someone, they are always with you.
It is relentless.

The problem is we are not born knowing how to love. May each of us find our own school of Love. It’s likely we cannot recognize it when we do encounter it at first. But with time, we will.

Perhaps, it’s that conversation with a stranger, or a deep long gaze into the eyes of a homeless man with his cold dry hands in yours, or through marriage.

To grace, how great a debtor.
